Morning Star is an exclusive property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. Our policies allow us to run an efficient Bed & Breakfast so we can provide a high standard of service.

Morning Star Bed & Breakfast of Corrales is NM Safe certified and has adopted the New Mexico “COVID Safe Practices” as our standard operating procedure as a measure to ensure we operate a safe environment. The advantage of adopting the New Mexico Safe Certifed Operating Procedures / COVID Safe Practices is that our organization is updated about state mandates, national lodging associations recommended practices and new CDC guidelines.

14-DAY QUARANTINE DAY REQUIREMENT  

All states and territories not deemed low-risk are deemed high-risk. However, individuals who can show documentation of a valid negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before or after entry into New Mexico are exempt from the 14-day quarantine requirement, regardless of the state from which they have traveled. Persons who have undergone a COVID-19 test shall self-isolate while awaiting results of their test. This exemption does not apply to persons entering New Mexico after traveling outside of the United States.

OCCUPANCY & SPACE PLANNING

Social distancing is a concept that is natural to our brand.  The bed & breakfast is space planned and designed for luxury accommodations, so the design ratios allow for more space.  Our guests have the use of private usable areas throughout the home.  It's very easy for guest social distance.  The innkeepers have a separate suite that is not part of the bed & breakfast.  

 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have reduced our occupancy to what the state of New Mexico mandates.  We have also adjusted our calendar to avoid bottlenecks.  Whole-house bookings are for those in a group, such as a family or a work-related group.  Our whole-house booking is a hybrid of privacy and bed and breakfast services.  Innkeepers still have an active role in and around the property. 

 

MASK WEARING AND SOCIAL DISTANCING   

Masks are worn by staff and guests per the New Mexico mandate. 

To ensure social distancing for breakfast;

  1. Individual seating for breakfast with the social distancing of at least 6 feet between tables. 

  2. Single plating for guests (no family-style serving)

  3. Hand sanitizer dispensers are located at primary guest entrances and contact areas for visitors and guests.

CLEANING &DISINFECTING  

PAYMENTS, DEPOSITS, & MINIMUM STAYS

Online bookings and credit card transactions are available through this website, or you can call us directly at 505-366-9224 to make reservations.

 

A 50% deposit is required when you make reservations, and the balance must be paid in full upon arrival.  We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and AMEX.   We accept Traveler's Check upon arrival.

 

Our high season is April 15th through November 30th. We require a two-night minimum stay on the weekends, which include Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. We require a three-night minimum for whole-house rentals.

 

Our Low Season is December 1st through April 14th. We require a three-day minimum stay on whole-house rentals.

 

The International Balloon Fiesta (http://www.balloonfiesta.com/) begins on October 6th and ends on October 14th.  There are many options on how we can accommodate your group or family. Please call 505-366-9224 for reservations.

CANCELING YOUR RESERVATION 

If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 7 (seven) days* before your arrival date to cancel your reservation. 

In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than seven (7) days notice, shorten your stay or check out early, you will be responsible for your entire reservation. If we can rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund will be made.  A cancellation fee of $25.00 will be charged. 

 

Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and special requests.  A 60-day cancellation notice is required on single suite bookings at Balloon Fiesta (www.balloonfiesta.com/) and a 30-day cancellation notice for whole house bookings and for some holidays and special events.  

 

PETS

While we love our furry friends, we cannot accommodate them at Morning Star

Bed & Breakfast.

CHILDREN

Children are welcome! Albireo Suite A (queen bed) and Albireo Suite B (two twin beds) are set up for two adults and two children. The rooms connect via a shared bathroom. The suite is appropriate for children over the age of six. Due to the expansive property size, children must be supervised at all times. 

SMOKING

Morning Star Bed & Breakfast is a non-smoking property. 

 

PROPERTY USE & ACCESS

To ensure the safety and privacy of our guests, we ask that you not bring others to the property site unless prior arrangement is made with the innkeeper. Use of the property grounds and pool is for guests only. 

POOL ACCESS & RULES 

  1. No Lifeguard on duty. Use the pool at your own risk. We are not responsible for accidents or injuries.

  2. No glass in the pool area

  3. No yelling, pushing or horseplay.

  4. No diving.

We use EPA approved cleaning and sanitizing protocols, including EPA- approved disinfectants or alcohol solutions with at least 70% alcohol when cleaning clean communal areas, public spaces, and guest rooms.

  • BenzaRid - Hospital Grade Disinfectant is proven to destroy Avian Influenza H1N1, H5N1 virus, MRSA, HIV/ AIDS, HSV 1 & 2, Hepatitis B & C, and Human Coronavirus after 10-minutes of surface contact.

  • Lysol All-Purpose Cleaner - EPA approved.

 

We ensure that frequently touched surfaces are cleaned and disinfected several times a day or as needed.  This includes door handles, doorways, walls, among other items.

 

Guest Rooms / Suites

  • We wait 1 day before entering the guest rooms for cleaning

  • We use the BenzaRid spray on all items in the guest suites upon entering.

  • We use an Air filter system between guest stays.

  • All bedding is washed and sanitized. No shaking of dirty laundry

  • All towels are washed and sanitized. 

  • All remote controls are sanitized.

  • Cleaning supply tools and supplies are sanitized.
